So today Colin Powell has officially stated that he is endorsing Barack Obama. This is huge because Colin Powell is a Republican and worked under President Bush for 4 years as the Secretary of State. He has had the opportunity to work with McCain and Obama over many years. Colin stated he doesn't think that Sarah Palin is ready to be president (much like the rest of the world) and that he has to question some of McCain's tactics and judgement. Mr. Powell also had points to make about Obama not being perfect but feeling that he would be a better President for our country. This just warms my heart. I have included the link to Colin Powell's interview on Meet the Press. Please watch this. We are getting into the home stretch people and we need to know the facts.

Wow! My eyes are watery. When I heard Colin Powell point out 'so what if he were a muslim, although he is not' and gave the example of the soldier Kharim Rashad Soltan Khan. Received a purple heart, bronze star, that was of the islamic faith and gave his life to protect his country, America. Literally my eyes were watery eyed. Powell said it, Obama has substance and style.
First I'd like to commend Diva for her spelling skills. Impeccable. That's like me trying to spell T.J. Houshmandzadeh. Anyways, I think Colin very eloquently presented valid reasons why Obama gets his vote. He didn't bash McCain as much as he could have, and he didn't make Obama seem like the Messiah for the country. He came with some real talk. He didn't come out with "McCain's too old to even be a president's father," or "Palin rides the short bus down the Pipeline." He actually came with valid points and objectively stated why Obama would be a better candidate for the presidency. He could have very well said "Barack's the shit because he's black," as many have. Now don't get me wrong...if that's why you want to vote for Barack, I'll still take it. But for those out there who may maintain that mentality look at it like this: this man is a Republican. He served with the Bush administration. He has tons of reasons to endorse McCain and still is going with Barack. People need to wake up...
